    Engineering & Quality Control

Close cooperation between Engineering, Production and Quality Control is essential for the high-quality products that Oostendorp manufactures.

    Engineering

Oostendorp Apparatenbouw has its own in-house engineering department. The experienced team of mechanical engineers is happy to think along with you. We deliver custom work; all devices are customer-specific and individually engineered. The team is close to production, so they can directly support the fabrication and repairs of complex structures.

We also employ several qualified welding engineers (LPI / IWE). Oostendorp has extensive experience and knowledge of the processing of all common metals, including exotics such as Monel, Super Duplex and titanium. The available welding processes can be found under welding qualifications.

Our Engineering department takes care of the mechanical calculations and technical drawings under various design codes:

    • AD-2000
    • ASME VIII Div. 1
    • EN-13445
    • PD 5500
    • RToD
    • Customer-specific specs

The devices are supplied under applicable regulations, such as PED or AMSE-U. See also our certificates for more information.

    Quality control

All our products are produced under strict quality regulations. Checking material certificates, management of welder qualifications and quality surveys, all steps are recorded in our in-house developed software to ensure traceability.

Our QC team has practical experience and is thoroughly trained (MLT / IWT). They ensure close cooperation with your inspectors to achieve the best possible result. We have experience with both national and international certification bodies.

The QC department can also be of service to your organization on-site for the investigation and purchase of repair work. We can also arrange the re-inspection with the inspection authorities for you, see also Service & Repair.

The necessary NDT (non-destructive testing) such as PT, MT, PMI, hardness, ferite and wall thickness measurements can be carried out in-house. We also work with independent NDT companies for a.o. Radiography and UT.
